About Us

Whakatane SeniorNet (Inc.) is a voluntary, non-profit community organization. There is no age barrier on learning, we invite all adults to come and expand their knowledge. We provide information knowledge and learning opportunities to give you confidence to use your selected electronic device to the extent that you wish. We are managed by a committee, elected from among our members each year. Our Annual General Meetings are held in February.

As a dedicated community-based learning centre for older adults, staffed by volunteers, We help local seniors—and any interested adult—build confidence using computers, android and apple tablets, smartphones, and similar electronic devices.

SeniorNet Whakatāne provides tailored, small-group learning sessions in a relaxed, friendly environment. They cover topics such as smartphones, Microsoft applications, online safety, and more.

Becoming a member of SeniorNet Whakatāne helps seniors gain confidence with technology in a supportive, relaxed environment. Members can learn how to use devices, apps, and online services while enjoying social connection and access to helpful discounts. It’s a great way to stay connected, independent, and up to date in today’s digital world.
